how to sign up for a workshop or book your own
how to sign up for an upcoming workshop:
Workshops are now added to the shop! Sign up by purchasing your desired workshop ticket there.
Send me a message if you’re signing up multiple people, especially if any of your attendees are receiving the workshop as a gift. I don’t provide gift cards but I’ll email them to let them know you’ve gifted them.
Payment can be made via debit or credit card or through e-transfer. I can also accept cash by appointment at the studio.
The workshops will be held at my studio in mount pleasant.
cancellations and Refunds:
Ticket sales will end one week prior to the workshop’s date, so book your spot in advance! This is to ensure there are enough participants to run to workshop. Due to the costs of setting up each workshop, unfortunately I can no longer give refunds for workshop tickets if something happens last minute and you have to cancel your place.
If I have to cancel a workshop myself for any reason, I will give participants their refunded tickets in full.
how to schedule a private workshop with CraCHER Dans La Soupe:
The workshops are mobile! I’m happy to bring a workshop to your organization, school, business or event.
I require a minimum of 4 confirmed participants to hold any of the workshops.
Deposits, cancellations and refunds for private workshops:
I require all participants to pay for their place at your private workshop at least one week prior to the workshop date.
I do not require a deposit other than the ticket fees, however I can not refund tickets for any last minute cancellations due to the costs of materials and labour for setting up each workshop.
The workshop timeframe and particulars can be suited to your event needs. Shoot me an email with your event or organization details, dates, number of guests/students and any other info you want me to know and we will make it happen!
safety info and faq
allergies/sensitivities
Many fragrant substances, both natural and synthetic, can be potential allergens. I will explain all the potentially hazardous effects of each material we use as we begin the workshop, and how to avoid them.
If you know you have an allergy or sensitivity to a specific material or plant, please tell me ahead of time and I will try to accommodate by switching that material out if possible. I need some notice ahead to make this change if this is the case, so the sooner you let me know the better. If it’s not possible to change something out I will communicate that to you so you can make your own decision about attending the workshop.
community guidelines
Perfumery is a fraught discourse steeped in its ancient and ongoing colonial history, many of its practices and language are rife with racial and ecological problems. Cracher Dans La Soupe Parfum strives to decolonize our work through considerate, thoughtful and necessarily slow engagement with this history. We aim not to shy away from problems in this industry but instead to unearth, disturb and learn from the problems we encounter, and to offer alternative approaches to perfumery.
These workshops are an inclusive space of conversation. We expect our attendees to be respectful of themselves and each other in every sense. You know what this means, but just in case, specifically the workshops are a queer-positive, anti-racist, lgbtq2+ space. We hope to learn together across our many differences.
