GROUP SIZE : 4-10 PARTICIPANTS

In this hands on Workshop for 9 to 12 year-olds we will learn how to make our own one-of-a-kind perfume to take home using professional materials and tools. through a series of sniffing, writing and perfume blending exercises we will explore the fragrant world around us and how scent connects to memory.

we will do a little “perfumer’s math”, to learn the basics of perfume formulation, and figure out how much of a good thing is too much, (or maybe it isn’t at all!) We will also develop our noses by smelling a variety of perfume ingredients from the most delicious and beautiful to the weirdest and most wonderful!

No prior perfume knowledge is required for this workshop. This is a perfume-making workshop only for kids.

Safety notes: Please be advised that we will be working with professional perfumery ingredients diluted in sweet almond or coconut oil. some of these oils/absolutes/resins are known allergens. If you have specific allergies to essential oils, nuts, plants or trees that you can identify, and would like to participate in this workshop nonetheless, please let me know ahead of time and I will try my best to accommodate with alternative materials.
